I come here regularly. I enjoy the food and the staff. I highly recommend giving them a try.

The owners are pleasant and friendly people. The food is out of this world good. There are few Mediterranean restaurants that I frequent, but every time I am in town, I make sure to stop here.

The wife and myself loved this place and have been going for years. We went last night and well, the menu was the same but all the food we received was different than visits in the past. The restaurant was recently remodeled, was it sold also or under new management? It's completely not the same food at all, for this reason I had to update my 5 star rating to 1. Rest in peace Alex's you will be very missed!

Not impressed at all! No meat on our sandwiches,and the spinach pie i wouldn't feed to my dog!!!

We always get the Whole deboned chicken. This feeds my family of 3 and we all have lunch for the next day and then some. The prices are reasonable and very good quality

Eat here 15 times a month and today it was so trash. Almost as if they had new management to say make it a certain way. So dry and light. Nothing like they used to make it. Really kinda sad. I used to tell friends about how great it was....

I absolutely cannot overstate how *incredible* the foods and friends at Alex Kabob are. I went there to pick up some stuff before a night in with a movie and had a completely transcendental experience with the charred and sauted chicken. 11/10, would come here *any* time I'm Downriver again.

The garlic paste spread was excellent. The Greek salad and chicken sharama was okay I wish I could say excellent, but I prefer the place on Telegraph in Flat Rock for chicken sharama. The owner(s) or employees were just outstanding with great service, friendy and really appreciated you being there as the customer

Foods good..... reasonable prices... big portions..... warm pitas bread and garlic dip served with meal

We love going to this place. The owners are so nice. They make you feel like your family. Plus the food is always on point. You get a lot of food for what you order.

Their salad and chicken is to die for, I don’t know what they put in the salad dressing but keep it up very consistent 5/5 from me. Their the best around literally the food no one can talk about it’s very tasty and the quality is very high also they have been around for a very long time and still have the cheapest menu this restaurant deserves so much, also just to add on their always busy that tells you something.

Food was delish & served quickly. Our server was welcoming, knowledgeable & the sweetest. The cleanliness of small things could be a bit better.(windows, blinds, legs of tables and chairs) Sometimes it's the little things. I would go again & take others, absolutely!

Food and service were both excellent. Had the shish tawook lunch. Couldn't finish. Plenty of food for a great price. Garlic sauce was awesome as well with the fresh pita bread. Even the salad dressing was spot on. Only drawback is the place is a little run down...could use some T.L.C. Will be back. 👍👍

This resteraunt is always consistent with their food. Everything is fresh, full of flavor and they updated their dinning area! The inside looks very nice and cozy. The waitress staff is wonderful and they do check on their customers quite often. I would recommend going to this resteraunt. A Downriver, small buisness successful resteraunt🙂

Staff was friendly and the food was fast and had the right taste!! Last night I had the chicken kabob dinner and the texture was on point and the way it had been marinated could not be explained. My girlfriend had the meat grape leaves and she loved it!! I recommend this place to everyone and when you go there im 100% sure you won't be disappointed.

Meat was still rare done and salad tomatoes were mushy. Had to pop the meat in the oven to cook more and throw the tomatoes out. Ordered a side of lemon oregono sauce and it was gross.

Young woman at front Desk very disrespectful. First she messed up my order. Next, she had to recharge me. Then she set my card on table, with a attitude. If I give you a credit/debt card in your hand, I expect it back the same way. Last, she smacked her lips because I asked her for both receipts. Do not work in customer service if you cannot control your attitude.

Excellent food very good service friendly staff

The feta fattoush was okay, ordered to it go, they put the dressing on it so it would have been soggy if I didn't eat it right away. The cucumbers are sliced too thin. Added my own sumac. I ordered a chicken kabob specific, was told it came with onions and peppers...it came with peppers and pickles..the chicken was good with my own tzatziki sauce. They gave what appeared to be store bought soft pita bread with a little garlic sauce. Not impressed at all.

The food is really, really scrumptious! And the service is quick and friendly! This is one of my "must stop" places whenever I am back in town! Love it!

My favorite Mediterranean restaurant! Fantastic food, and even better staff! Be sure to ask for Michele and get some of the best service of your life!! They work with any and every allergy, lots of gluten free options with best hummus in all the land and the tastiest of chicken vegetable soups. Great for take out. Definitely give them a try and make them your favorite too!

So glad we came! Food was excellent as well as the service. Thank you for sharing your family history and about Beirut. Nice knowing your uncle owns Cedarland on Warre Ave. We will definitely be back. Only regret is that we've waited all these years to come in.

Good hummus and I liked how they included 2 kinds of pita. The lamb kabob had a weird spice that didn't taste good.

Great staff! People coming in the door were welcomed by the girl in the front and the guys in the kitchen. Great food and I've got enough for 2 or 3 more meals!

Having been here countless times, I can say with confidence that Alex's is Downriver's best place to get your Middle Eastern fix. They truly treat you like family and do everything they can do to ensure that you get the tastiest food you've ever imagined. I highly recommend Alex's!I mean, just look at that dish! Incredibly delicious!

Food was phenomenal! They are most famous for their grilled Kabobs, shawarma, and Tawook. The food was cooked to perfection and you can tell it came straight from their grill! We had Salem as our server and was amazed by the level of service that he provided. He was very patient and recommended many options for us as it was our first time there. Will definitely be back to explore the menu further!

No longer my go to place. Today would be the fourth visit recently that they've served me cold shawarma sandwiches. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. I don't know what happened but It will be missed.

Excellent! Definitely recommend. If you're looking for quality Lebanese/Mediterranean food in Southgate, this place fits the bill. I got the David Basha because it sounded interesting and I was in the mood for Kafta. I really liked it and I had enough leftover for a full lunch the next day! I went with a friend and he got the Hommus with Lamb and said it was good as well. The Fattoush salad was great, as would be expected. Check it out!

Good food great price good service

Service was good, food could have been hotter considering how long it took to come. Ood was good. Server was pleasant, checked back frequently. Lunch was a good deal for the price. Will be back soon. Room was cold had to keep jacket on.

They have THE BEST garlic dip in Michigan. Its free withyour meal. I highly recommend the sandwiches. Two people can eat like kings with drinks for under $20.
